Paul West has worked in the fields of Scanning Probe Microscopes and Nanotechnology for twenty years. He is a founder of three companies; QuanScan, Topometrix, and Pacific NanoTechnology. His accomplishments include the development of products that have sold over $100 million around the world. He is the author of more than two dozen U.S. and foreign patents.. Dr. West served on numerous committees including the National Nanotechnology Initiative.
2001: Present V.P. Products/Chief Technical Officer Pacific NanoTechnology
Pacific NanoTechnology offers atomic force microscopes to the emerging nanotechnology markets that are high performance, easy to use, and affordable.
1998-2001: Vice President of Sales & Marketing ThermoMicroscopes
ThermoMicroscopes developed, manufactured and marketed scanning probe microscopes for research, nanotechnology, process development, and analytical applications in universities, corporations and government laboratories. In 2001 Thermomicroscopes was acquired by Veeco.
1990-1998: TopoMetrix, Inc.
TopoMetrix developed, manufactured and marketed scanning probe microscopes. TopoMetrix was a world leader in the probe microscope market. TopoMetrix was acquired by ThermoElectron in 1998.
1997-1998: Vice President of Sales & Marketing
1993-1997: Vice President of Product Development/Chief Technical Officer
1990-1993: Vice President/Chief Technical Officer
1986-1990: Chief Scientist QuanScan, Inc.
Quanscan developed novel applications for probe technology in the areas of instrumentation, digital storage and acceleration sensors.
1984-1986: Sr. Member Technical Staff Aerojet Electrosystems
Aerojet-Asuza develops and manufactures high performance infrared sensors for military satellite applications.
